During the meeting with the employees of “Dilijan” National Park SNCO Aramayis Grigoryan thanked for their joint work and readiness to overcome the current difficulties, at the same time stressing: “Dilijan National Park is our national wealth and we should do our best to preserve this territory. We should be able to raise the culture of the use of specially protected natural areas in our country and to punish strictly the offenders, regardless of their social status”. Aramayis Grigoryan made remarks to the administration of the National Park for some problems and shortcomings hoping that they will be corrected and solved in the near future.

The Minister accompanied by Karen Manvelyan, the director of WWF Armenia visited the area of the future breeding site in Dilijan National Park established in the frames of the Caucasian red deer breeding joint program to familiarize with deer breeding conditions. Aramayis Grigoryan attached importance to the program on restoration of the Caucasian red deer population in Armenia, which will stimulate the development of ecotourism in the region. “The selection of the area needed for breeding Caucasian red deer should be conditioned by several circumstances. Besides being suitable for breeding deer, it will also solve social problems creating working places for the residents of adjacent villages.
