The RA Minister of Nature Protection Aramayis Grigoryan received US Agency for International Development /USAID/ Armenian Mission Director Karen Hilliard.
Greeting the guests the Minister thanked USAID Mission for implemented activities in Armenia, particularly for the collaboration with and the assistance to the Ministry of Nature Protection. Reflecting the national water reservoirs, particularly saving and the effective usage of Ararat valley underground sweet water, Aramayis Grigoryan appreciated the projects already fulfilled by USAID directed to this problem solution and hoped that they will be the best bases for the future partnership.
The parties discussed the introduction of automatic management system of Ararat artesian pool, development of management plans of the RA 6 water pools and the issues about effective and purposeful appliance of water recourses.
Aramayis Grigoryan stressed the necessity to introduce up-to-date technologies in the hydromonitoring implementation processes. USAID Armenian Mission Director also stated the will to support the idea.
Mrs Karen Hilliard stated that Armenia is one of those countries where USAID is going to cooperate and support the implementation of projects having significant importance for the country.
The parties have a preliminary agreement and planned a discussion about the collaboration details with experts.

Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body was defined as a subordinate body to the Government by the RA law on “State administration system bodies” adopted on March 23, 2018, thus citizens may send their calls and applications to the Head of the Inspection Body (Address: 46 Charenc, Yerevan, tel. 011-81-85-92).
