An event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place in State Museum of Nature of Armenia

Within the scope of “International Museum Day” initiative “Witnesses of Remembrance” event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place in State Museum of Nature of Armenia on May 16, 2015.

StateMuseum of Nature of Armenia of the RA Ministry of Nature Protection having 30 thousand visitors annually is a part of cultural life in the republic, particularly in the capital.

RA Deputy Minister Khachik Hakobyan welcomed the participants and the organizers attaching importance to the event commemorating the tragedy of the 20th century and appreciating the fact of organizing the event in State Museum of Nature of Armenia. Byureghavan Primary Schoolchildren were actively engaged. “From darkness to the light” exhibition of painter Shahen Aslanyan’s paintings was exhibited. There were many visitors, governmental and non-governmental representatives, famous artists present at the museum.
