With regard to firefighting activities effected in specially protected areas of nature /SPAs/ of the RA Ministry of Nature Protection (14.08.2017)

According to N 232-A order of RA Minister of Nature Protection Artsvik Minasyan /17.07.2017/, the Directors of the RA MNP specially protected areas of nature were instructed to define twenty-four-hour duties and put forward emergency preparedness toolkit for primary situation.

Presented below is information related to the current situation in specially protected areas of nature /SPAs/ on August 14:

• There has not been detected a wildfire situation in “Zikatar” environmental center” SNCO, round-the-clock duties are executed, the situation is under control.
• Here have not been detected fires in the area of “Lake Arpi” national park, a twenty-four-hour supervision is performed over the areas, preventative measures are undertaken. The risks of fire breaking out is low within the territory.
• On August 14, at 15:30 a fire broke out within the area of Agarak Cross-Stone- “Kalpak Cold Well” area of “Areviq” national park of "Zangezur" Biosphere Complex SNCO, which comprised 1.0 ha grassy and woody area. The employees of "Zangezur" Biosphere Complex SNCO along with the residents Karjevan community put out the fire at 19:55. Round-the-clock, well-organized duty is conducted.
• There have not been detected cases of fire in “Reserve Park Complex” SNCO, a twenty-four-hour duty is implemented and the situation is controllable.
• There has not been detected wildfire situation in “Dilijan NP” SNCO, round-the-clock duties are executed and the situation is under control.
• Here have not been detected fires in the area of “Sevan NP” national park, twenty-four-hour supervision is done over the areas, safeguard measures are assumed, thus the situation is under the oversight.
