The Minister of Nature Protection will participate in the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) from April 25 to 27 in China

Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan will conduct a  working visit to the People's Republic of China to take part in the Second Belt and Road  Forum  for  International Cooperation  (BRF) in Beijing, within the framework of which the second "Green Silk Road" thematic forum will be held, and the launch of “International Coalition for Green Development on the Belt and Road” will be given. Leaders including up to 160 high-ranking officials of 40 countries, heads of international organizations and guests to attend the event.
The round-tables, high-level meetings, 12 thematic forums focused on sustainable development, introduction of green technologies, renewable  energy, global climate governance and biodiversity conservation will take place under the BRI framework, with the participation of government officials. The objective of the forum is to implement the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through the exchange of experience and concepts on ecological civilization and development.
Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan will said a speech. In the frames of the event, Minister's bilateral meetings with the Minister of Ecology and Environment of China and the Head of Forestry and Grassland Administration (FGA) of China are planned. The signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation in the sphere of environmental protection between the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China (MEP) is also envisaged.
