Discussed the main problems of Lake Sevan


On January 29, the discussion on the main problems of Lake Sevan was held, chaired by Deputy Minister of Environment Vardan Melikyan.
The discussion focused on revealing the problems regarding supervision and effective management of the water quality running into and off Lake Sevan, notably  the installation and operation of mechanical and biological wastewater treatment plants.
In attendance were the sectorial specialists of the Ministry of Environment, officers of interested agencies and business entities.
In the course of the meeting, the representatives of the Ministry submitted the legislative reforms addressed to the efficient management of the water of Lake Sevan. Also, the entrepreneurs presented the steps directed to development of the sphere and proposed solutions.
