International Mother Earth Day was proclaimed by the decree of the United Nations General Assembly.
The objective of the day is to draw the world's attention to environmental issues and to work together to protect the planet Earth.
The declaration of Earth Day was largely linked to the global population growth, expanding of city boundaries, increased volumes of transport and industry, the irrational water use and other factors, conditioned by the people’s negative impacts, which led to irreversible consequences on the environment.
This day is another occasion to think about all the problems facing humanity.
According to the theme for the day, it is necessary to foster such behavior and perception, which will enable to revalue and re-evaluate environmental protection for our and future generations.
