Which buildings will be demolished first? The shores of Sevan are cleaned

29-04-2020

The cleanup of Lake Sevan’s coastal areas from buildings and structures is entering a practical stage. The interdepartmental working group set up by the instruction of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan completed the inventory of both state-, community-  and private-owned buildings and structures at an altitude of up to 1901.5 meters above sea level.
The area of state- and community-owned buildings and structures subject to dismantling or demolition was more than 4900 square meters, and the total area of private buildings subject to demolition exceeded 68.000 square meters.
By the first phase, it is envisaged to dismantle state- and community-owned buildings.
For that purpose, a tender was announced on “Preparation of design and estimate documents for dismantling (demolition) water-covered state- and community-owned buildings and structures on the shores of Lake Sevan” for the needs of the Ministry of Environment.
