THE SESSION OF THE BOARD

Chaired by Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan, the next session of the Governing Board of the Inspectorate for Nature Protection and Mineral Resources took place today. 
In attendance were Deputy Minister of Justice Vahe Danielyan, Deputy Minister of Economy Avag Avanesyan, Head of Inspection Bodies’ Coordination Bureau of Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Artur Asoyan, Acting Head of the Inspectorate for Nature Protection and Mineral Resources Gnel Hasratyan, officers of organizations and members of unions included in the Board.
 There were 7 issues on the agenda of the session, with reference to some of which the voting was postponed.
The Board first discussed the issue of terminating the membership of "Environmental Public Union" non-governmental organization included in the Governing Board of the Inspectorate for Nature Protection and Mineral Resources, afterwards the issue of approving the performance appraisal methodology to approve Gnel Hasratyan's candidacy for the post of Head of the Inspectorate for Nature Protection and Mineral Resources were considered.
Taking into account the RA Premier's  draft decree on organizing the enviornmental study (monitoring) of Lake Sevan and its catchment basin for 2020-2022 by the Inspectorate for Nature Protection and Mineral Resources of the Republic  of Armneia in the framework of ''Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring'' project.
The session took a note of  the mechanisms of making the functioning of the Inspection body more productive, the essential of legislative reform initiatives, a number of budgetary and financial issues were debated.
The issues and proposals voiced in order to lay the work of the Inspection body on more institutional basis were taken into consideration by the Board.
