Recently, the third batch of the Red Deer has been transferred to the Breeding Center of the Red Deer of “Dilijan” National Park from the Islamic Republic of Iran

By the project, 14 individuals in three batches were transferred to the Breeding Center of the Red Deer of “Dilijan” National Park from the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2018-2020:

1. March 2018 (three deer),

2. In February 2019 (five deer),

3. November 2020 (six deer).

In the project scopes, a 10-hectare open-air enclosure, as well as an office of the Breeding Center of the Red Deer were built in “Dilijan” NP; the latter is upgraded with relevant technical and human resources.
“Reintroduction of the Red Deer in Armenia” project  was undertaken by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia and World Wide Fund for Nature Armenian Branch (WWF Armenia) in 2013. Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF), too, had its active participation in the project fulfillment. 
The  top management of "Dilijan" national park extends a vote of thanks to the organizers for the successful implementation of the above-mentioned project, assures that the further works will be organized in good faith and properly.
