Today, Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan held the next working discussion over the draft law on the amendment to the RA Law on Environmental Impact Assessment and Expertise.
By the draft law on the amendment, it is envisaged to introduce an e-government system starting with the acceptance of the EIA bidding, empowering to involve an international expert or group of experts in the process in a bid to ensure the transparency of the environmental impact assessment process, to comply the legislation with international legal standards, to clarify the working status of experts, etc.
The working group of the draft law on the amendment will hold ongoing meetings, discussions with representatives of environmental organizations, environmental activists and a wider group of experts in the future.

Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body was defined as a subordinate body to the Government by the RA law on “State administration system bodies” adopted on March 23, 2018, thus citizens may send their calls and applications to the Head of the Inspection Body (Address: Koryun 1, 3750009 Yerevan, tel.
