Free fuel briquettes are provided to Meghri community settlements
To reduce the pressure of adjacent communities on forest areas of “Areviq” national park, in the frames of “Support Program for Protected Areas-Armenia” (SPPA-A) project, the Ministry of Nature Protection implements a project: providing of alternative fuels to two mountainous settlements of Meghri community.
There were provided grants to residents of Haghartsin and Teghut villages within the framework of environmental projects
The Ministry of Nature Protection in collaboration with the UNDP/GEF and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) executed a small grant project of around 70 million AMD in Haghartsin and Teghut communities of Tavush region, about which RA Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had announced earlier.

The restoration of Armenia's forest areas is one of the key directions of the policy conducted by the Ministry of Nature Protection. To ensure this, the reforestation works within 2000 hectares of forests under "ArmForest" SNCO situated in Lori and Tavoush regions- launched this year- are to be completed with backing of the UNDP.

The policy conducted in the sphere of environmental protection has undergone drastic changes
Acting Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan reported on the guiding directions of the policy, ongoing reforms, current and promising projects performed in the sphere of environmental protection over the past 6 months. The representatives of international and non-governmental organizations, initiatives doing environmental-related activities and the mass media were invited to the meeting.

The 30th Meeting of the Parties (MOP 30) to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer took place in Quito, Ecuador. First Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Irina Ghaplanyan and Liana Ghahramanyan, National Coordinator for the Ozone Layer Issues participated in the meeting.
