To ensure this, the reforestation works within 2000 hectares of forests under "ArmForest" SNCO situated in Lori and Tavoush regions- launched this year- are to be completed with backing of the UNDP.

The policy conducted in the sphere of environmental protection has undergone drastic changes
Acting Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan reported on the guiding directions of the policy, ongoing reforms, current and promising projects performed in the sphere of environmental protection over the past 6 months. On the margins of the visit of the preliminary assessment mission of Nationally Determined Contributions Partnership (NDC Partnership) under the Paris Agreement, it took place the efficient consultation in Conference Hall of Ani Plaza Hotel; in attendance were responsible persons of ministeries and interested organizations, members of the Delegation from NDC Partnership, officers of international projects and non-governmental organizations, experts.
There will be no longer emissions from Ararat landfill harmful to humans and the environment
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan conducted a working visit to Ararat region and got acquainted with accomplished restoration and infrastructure establishment activities of the landfill of the city of Ararat.
