Call for an Implementing Partner to hold a training course envisaged in the frames of  “European Union for Environment” (EU4Environment) programme

In the framework of the EU-funded “European Union for Environment” (EU4Environment) programme - a  leading component on “Greener decision-making”- UNEP envisages to conduct an online training course on green economy to reveal opportunities directed to green growth and develop "green" policy.

The status of "freeing Sevan from chains" is continued  with great vigour

By the instruction of the Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan, the process of dismantling illegal buildings and structures, pavilions, fences and cleaning up the areas from garbage is in progress in the coastal areas under "Sevan" NP SNCO.

On February 15 no precipitation is predicted.  On February 16, in the daytime of 20 in separate regions, on 17-19, at night of 20 in most regions precipitation is predicted, on 18-20 in the foothills and valleys in the form of snow. South-west wind speed is 5-10 m/s, on 16-17 in separate places the wind speed may reach up to 20-25 m/s, and on 17 - 25-30 m/s. On Fabruary 18-20 the air temperature will gradually go down by 10-13 degrees.
In Yerevan
On February 15 and in the daytime of 20, at night of 16 no precipitation is predicted. In the daytime of 16 rain is predicted, on 17 rain with thunderstorm is predicted, on 18-19, at night of 20 wet  snow is predicted.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Environment A. Mazmanyan and Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry R. Grigoryan.

The seized area was returned to the administration of "Sevan" National Park

The first session of the newly formed Public Council attached to the RA Minister of Environment will be convened at the end of this month

The acceptance of applications of  candidates for membership in the new Public Council attached to the Minister of Environment has been completed.  The 40 applications for membership in the council were received.
