8.5 tons of agricultural products, 5500 sq. m. farm, 8 new jobs
Due to the Ministry of Environment-implemented “Support Program for Protected Areas-Armenia” (SPPA-A), a new company has been established in Tatev community of Syunik region, which is engaged in the production of agricultural products.
As a result of the project, 5,500 square meters of land plot free of charge for 25 years was purchased in Tatev settlement, in which two greenhouses of 200 square meters and open fields were established respectively.
23 hectares of reforestation in the one particular forestry
In the previous year, by dint of the funds allocated from the state budget, “ArmForest” SNCO supervised unprecedented volume of afforestation activities. On May 2, Minister of Environment Erik Grigoryan and Deputy Minister Vardan Melikyan conducted a visit to forest enterprises of Lori and Tavoush regions, summed up the large-scale works performed in 2019 along with the workers of “ArmForest” SNCO. In the spring and autumn of 2019, around 70,000 trees were planted in “ArmForest” SNCO’s “Voskepar” forest enterprise, Noyemberyan community, Tavoush region.
