“Natural resources should be used reasonably”: the Premiere got acquainted with projects of the Ministry of Environment 

Premiere Nikol Pashinyan today conducted a visit to the Ministry of Environment to consider the Ministry’s ongoing and upcoming programs. The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister Arsen Torosyan, Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan, Deputy Ministers, heads of the Ministry-affiliated structures, other officials.

A criminal case has been initiated concerning  the 110 buildings upon violation of the legislation in the central ecological zone of the lake, for non-fulfillment of obligations to protect "Sevan" National Park

And yet, in August 2021, the Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan instructed the relevant subdivisions of the Ministry to survey and submit the information on the legality of the facilities and buildings in the ecological zone of Lake Sevan to him.

Summing up completed grant programs in Syunik region

The executive body of “Support Program for Protected Areas-Armenia” (SPPA-A) project  is the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.
