The 17th of June is the World Day to Combat Desertification
The Convention to Combat Desertification was signed twenty-five years ago, on 17 June 1995. Armenia is one of the first countries to join the Convention to Combat Desertification, which has developed the National Action Programme to Combat Desertification (NAP-CD).

The world’s population marks World Environment Day (WED) - June 5 - as the day of citizens concerned about nature protection. The Republic of Armenia proclaimed the day as Ecologist’s Day in 2004.

Clarification of the Ministry of Nature Protection

On May 22, on the initiative of the Ministry of Nature Protection and Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU), there took place a conference on "Biodiversity in agrarian".
