During last years the international cooperation in the environmental protection field has been expanded. Armenia attaches much importance to the harmonization of  environmental laws and regulations with international standards and to the improvement of the mechanisms on implementation of international environmental conventions. At this moment Armenia is a part of a number of environmental conventions and protocols.
The Ministry of Nature Protection develops and implements international environmental projects. International organizations: such as World Bank, USAID, GEF, UNDP, UNEP,UNIDO, UNECE, OSCE provide financial and technical assistance for environmental problems solution.
