Four Codes and Ten Laws On Environment are in Force in the RA

The environmental control is also regulated by the RA Civil, Administrative and Criminal Codes as well as by the law "On Arrangement and Conduction of Inspections in Organizations Acting on the Territory of the Republic of Armenia".
By the end of 2001, it is envisaged to bring in the Government?s consideration six more draft laws, two of which are within the law "On Lake Sevan":
The draft of the RA Code "On the Underground" is ready and will be proposed to the RA Government for consideration. Three of the draft laws are submitted for approval, and the RA Draft Law "On Amendment to the RA Administrative Code" will be submitted to the concerned government bodies approval soon.
By the end of 2001, besides the RA draft laws mentioned above, to the RA Government?s approval will be submitted also 17 sub-legislative acts, four of which are proceeding from the RA Law "On Lake Sevan", eight of them are regulating the management of the underground, one of them represents the procedure of the management of natural resources, and four represent other sub-legislative acts on: Forestry, Ecological Examination, Inventory of Natural Resources and Ecological Education.
