In response to the videos and photos that appeared on the Internet on February 16, showing a walk of Caucasian red deer on the road from Dilijan to the tunnel, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Armenia) reports that work will begin in the near future to install road signs warning about red deer on the relevant road sections.
In connection with the incident, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Armenia) initiated discussions with Dilijan Municipality and Dilijan National Park. As a result, it was clarified that there is a need to warn drivers about the possible danger of contact with animals, and it was decided that appropriate road signs will be installed soon.
Until the work on the installation of signs and signs is completed, we urge you to be vigilant and attentive while driving, as deer may reappear on the road.
